Picture: Nazareth Farm Mission Trip
Submitted by jfranz on June 5, 2007 - 7:37amSix Class of 2008 students and two Gorman moderators spent a week at Nazareth farm, a Catholic community outreach center in Appalachia. The students live in prayer, simplicit, service and community with forty other high school students from across the United States, working each day in home construction and repair for the citizens of rural Doddridge County, West Virginia.

We continue to do very well and feel blessed everyday to be here sharing with the people of Guatemala who have received us with open arms for the past 16 months. We want to thank so many of you for your thoughtful messages and greetings. Please know that you are all in our daily thoughts, and it won't be long before we arrive back in the States for our 6 months of diocesan work. We hope you enjoy this update/reflection.

Firstly, we would like to thank so many of you who were so very welcoming to us throughout our visit. It was truly the best visit home we have ever had, leaving us emotionally and spiritually prepared to begin our work again.

Please receive a very warm greeting from Katherine and me! We would like to provide you with a brief update of the progression of events within the last several weeks. First know that everything is well with us, though at the moment we are apart with Katherine studying spanish in a city nearby; I, in turn, am receiving orientation here at Proyecto Vida, in Coatepeque - (www.proyectovida.org.uk).
