• New Interim Head Girls Basketball Coach: Coach Larry Hargett, former high school and collegiate baskteball coach, has been hired as the 2008-2009 Interim High School Girls Basketball Coach.  Hargett has coached at Strake Jesuit Catholic High School, University of North Carolina - Greensboro and Van High School.  See Tyler Morning Telegraph Article on Hargett Here.
• New Middle School Girls Basketball Coach: Ms. Katie Robertson, who played for Oklahoma State University, Blynn Jr. College and Midwestern State has been hired as the new MS Girls Baskteball Coach.
  
• MS CARD Day: Tomorrow, October 9th, with Pep Rally from 2:00 - 2:30 p.m. in the MS gym.
  
• Macy Chenevert Golf Tournament: Is next Monday, October 13, 2008.  Still time to register or support.  See attached flyer.
• Shoe Boxes Needed: The HS Vertebrate Natural History class is in need of empty shoe boxes that are in good condition. If you have any unwanted shoe boxes that can be donated, please contact Mr. Waters to pick them up or just simply bring them by the office or room 202.
• Accelerated Reader Kick-off and First Store: October 30 and 31.  Volunteers and donated items needed to create an attractive and rewarding store to motivate our readers.  Please contact Chi-Shim Wellmon, Bella Obach and Patricia Vasquez if you could help.  New ideas and suggestions are very welcome.
