- AP Testing Today: AP English Language and Composition (a.m.) Faculty and staff can access the attached schedule and rosters of test takers.

- HS Letter Jackets: Students who have met the requirements to order a Bishop T.K. Gorman letter jacket are invited to a special presentation by Herff Jones on Thursday, May 15th at 2:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria to go over ordering information. Herf Jones will return on Wednesday, May 21st at 2:30 p.m. to the school cafeteria to receive orders. Parents are encouraged to attend. Students wanting to order additional patches for letter jackets are welcome to attend. Questions about eligibility should be addressed to Mary Schick.
- End of Library Circulation and End of Accelerated Reader Program: Thursday, May 15, 2008.
- Computer Science and Engineering Camp: The University of Texas at Tyler will be offering a residential summer camp for 10-12th graders interested in engineering and computer science this summer. Cost is $299 and some scholarships are available to deserving students that may need financial assistance. This camp provides an exciting and challenging opportunity for young engineers and scientists to design an experiment to collect data from the atmosphere using instruments launched as payloads on high altitude balloons, the same sort used for meteorological purposes. Students will determine the experiment they wish to conduct, determine the required data, and design, assemble and test the instruments needed to collect this information. At a later date, these experiments will actually be conducted during a balloon launch which students may attend. Follow this link for more information and application.
- Summer Job Fair: Workforce Solutions of East Texas is holding a Youth Job Fair on Thursday May 15, 2008 from 4:00-7:00PM at 4100 Troup Highway in Tyler. More than 45 local companies will have representatives on-hand to answer your questions about summer employment opportunities for high school students. Dress for Success. - Accelerated Reader Update: 8th grade readers have earned a trip to the TJC Planetarium on May 20, by meeting the AR Class Challenge twice. A pizza lunch will also be served on that day. Congratulations. All permission slips are due back to the library by May 19, Monday.
- Volunteers Needed:
- This week for the St. Vincent DePaul Society Garage Sale this coming Saturday. Volunteers are needed all week in preparation and on Saturday to help with the actual Sale. Interested individuals should contact Kelly Jackman at 903.570.1800.
- St. Gregory Catholic School could use help with some help planting ground cover and shrubs in the next week or two. Students could work after school/early evening or on the weekend. Contact Mr. Reuter for more details.
