  • Free Dress Friday: For Middle School grades today from the 2008 Auction. MS students are allowed modified dress (p22 of Student Handbook) this Friday.

  • Rotary Young Citizens Award: Congratulations to Cori Jo Navarro and Alvin Estacio as the eighth grade recipients and Cara Massey and Jacob Vinson as the senior recipients of the Rotary Young Citizens Award.
  • Rotary Teacher of the Year: Congratulation to Ms, Lisa McGehee on her selection by the Tyler Rotary Club as Gorman Teacher of the Year.

  • AP Testing Today: AP Studio Art (portfolios due). Teachers and staff can access the attached schedule and rosters of test takers.
  • MS Choir Sandy Lake Congratulations: The MS Choir and Choir 6 earned a First Division Superior at Sandy Lake Competition in Dallas on Wed., May. 7. They were commended for having excellent blend, focus, and discipline... an achievement made all the more remarkable since Mrs. Liles forgot the accompaniment CD and had to play the piano for the Choir. The judges also commented on the beautiful tone quality and attention to rhythm and dynamics. Congratulations to all MS Choir members on a great job.
  • Holy Family Library New Arrivals: The Holy Family Library has just added over 120 new titles to the book collections. Many of them are award titles from the Tayshas, Newbery, Lonestar and Bluebonnet lists. They are ready for circulation. Please look for them at the New Arrivals Display areas. A comprehensive list of all new titles are posted online and also outside the Library.
  • Movie Release of "Prince Caspian": On Friday May 16th Saint Mary Magdalene Parish youth will be meeting in the parking lot of Carmike Cinema at 6pm for food and drinks and then going to see the 7pm showing of the new movie, Prince Caspian." Parents of guardians who would like for their 6th, 7th, or 8th grader to attend, please email Patrick Richey, Youth Minister at prichey109@yahoo.com. The Church has purchased 30 advanced tickets and the total cost for ticket and the food outside will be $10.
